Sunset Analemma
The June solstice marks the northernmost point of the Sun's yearly journey in Earth's sky. This event brings the longest day to the Northern Hemisphere and the astronomical start of summer. The Sun's position near the top of this analemma, a figure-eight curve, illustrates its path over a year. This composite image captures the Sun's changing position at sunset throughout the year.
