COSMIC MESSAGE
The Veil Nebula is a large supernova remnant in Cygnus, an expanding cloud of gas left behind by a massive star's death. Light from the original explosion reached Earth over 5,000 years ago. This ghostly visage of shocked, glowing gas now spans nearly three degrees, about six times the diameter of the full Moon.
