COSMIC MESSAGE
On November 11, 2019, the Sun was quiet, at a minimum in its 11-year activity cycle. The only visible spot was Mercury, transiting across the solar disk for 5 1/2 hours. This sharp image, taken with a hydrogen alpha filter, shows Mercury's silhouette, about 1/200th the apparent diameter of the Sun, near the center.
