COSMIC MESSAGE

This cosmic scene, just north of Orion's belt, is decorated with bright stars, dust clouds, and glowing nebulae. The bluish M78, a reflection nebula, is on the right. Its tint comes from dust reflecting the blue light of hot, young stars. A red sash of glowing hydrogen gas sweeps through the center.
