NASA APOD · Jose Joaquin Perez
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 6752, a globular star cluster, roams the halo of our Milky Way galaxy, 13,000 light-years away in the southern constellation Pavo. Over 10 billion years old, it is the third brightest globular cluster in Earth's night sky. It contains over 100,000 stars within a sphere about 100 light-years across. Telescopic observations have shown a remarkable fraction of stars near its core are multiple star systems.
