NGC 7331 is a large spiral galaxy in Pegasus, about 50 million light years away, often compared to our own Milky Way. Its disk is inclined to our line of sight, giving it a sense of depth in long exposures. This image, captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, shows its intricate spiral arms and dust lanes. NGC 7331 is one of the brighter galaxies not included in Messier's catalog.
