COSMIC MESSAGE
The Antennae Galaxies, NGC 4038 and NGC 4039, are a pair of interacting galaxies about 60 million light-years away. Their strong gravitational attraction began about a billion years ago when they first passed close to each other. This interaction has shaped them into a heart-like structure. They are among the best-studied interacting galaxies in our night sky.
