The Colors of Saturn from Cassini

This image from the Cassini spacecraft, which orbited Saturn from 2004 to 2017, shows the planet's true colors. Saturn's rings appear as a curved brown line, partly from their infrared glow. The complex structure of the rings is best seen in the dark shadows they cast across the upper part of the planet. The north pole shows a faint blue tint, indicating less haze there.
