NASA APOD · Luc Perrot
COSMIC MESSAGE

On May 3rd, 2020, cosmic dust grains streaked through southern skies above Reunion Island. These Eta Aquarid meteors are swept up as Earth passes through debris streams left by Comet 1/P Halley. This exposure captures a bright meteor flashing over a sea of clouds. The meteor streak points back to the shower's radiant in the constellation Aquarius.
