COSMIC MESSAGE
On an April night in Alberta, Canada, an almost full Moon created a complex of ice halos and arcs. These luminous apparitions are caused by moonlight refracting and reflecting through hexagonal ice crystals in high clouds. While the colors are faint to the unaided eye, long exposures reveal their detail.
