On July 30, 2020, an Atlas V rocket launched NASA's Perseverance rover toward Mars. This snapshot, taken from a plane 5,000 feet above Florida, shows the rocket's trail against the blue morning sky. Perseverance is headed for Jezero Crater, where it will land in February 2021.
