COSMIC MESSAGE
Toward the center of our Milky Way Galaxy, near the constellation Ophiuchus, dark clouds of interstellar dust sprawl across star fields. These obscuring clouds, cataloged by astronomer E. E. Barnard, include B59, B72, B77, and B78. Their combined shape suggests a pipe stem and bowl, leading to their popular name, the Pipe Nebula.
