This image shows two contrasting open star clusters. M35, in the lower left, is relatively young at 150 million years old, about 2800 light-years distant. Its bright blue stars indicate its youth. In contrast, NGC 2158, in the upper right, is four times farther away and ten times older, with its stars appearing more yellow and red.
