COSMIC MESSAGE
On May 26, 2021, the Full Flower Moon emerged from Earth's shadow as morning twilight began to wash over the western sky. This single exposure, taken at Pinnacles National Park in California, shows the eclipsed lunar disk near the horizon, framed against bare oak trees. Earth's shadow isn't completely dark; sunlight scattered by the atmosphere gives the totally eclipsed moon its reddened appearance.
