COSMIC MESSAGE
At the center of NGC 6164, the Dragon's Egg Nebula, is a hot, luminous O-type star, 40 times the mass of the Sun. This star created both the complex nebula immediately surrounding it and the encompassing blue halo. In a few million years, this massive star will likely end its life in a supernova.
