COSMIC MESSAGE
A green flash at sunset is a rare event, once thought to be a myth. It happens when Earth's atmosphere acts like a prism and a lens. Different atmospheric layers refract and disperse the sun's light, creating a thin sliver that appears green just as the sun dips below the horizon. This photograph shows a multiple green flash sunset, a rare occurrence.
