“Carina Nebula North” is copyrighted by Carlos Taylor. NASA has permission to show it and we don't, so it isn't on this card.
See it on NASA's siteThe Great Carina Nebula, located in the constellation Carina, is a vast star-forming region. It is home to many unusual stars and nebulae. This image details the northern part of the nebula, including the Gabriela Mistral Nebula, an emission nebula surrounding a cluster of young stars. The Carina Nebula is larger and brighter than the Orion Nebula, though it is less known due to its southern location.
