Young Stars, Dark Nebulae

In the constellation Taurus, about 450 light-years away, young stars are forming within dark, dusty nebulae. These T-Tauri stars, millions of years young, are still going through stellar adolescence. They are variable in brightness and appear with a yellowish hue in the image, deep in the late phases of their gravitational collapse.
