Barnard 68: Dark Molecular Cloud

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Barnard 68 is a dark molecular cloud, once thought to be a hole in the sky. It's a high concentration of dust and molecular gas that absorbs nearly all visible light from background stars. This makes its interior one of the coldest and most isolated places in the universe. It's located toward the constellation Ophiuchus.
