COSMIC MESSAGE

Messier 63, also known as NGC 5055, is a spiral galaxy about 30 million light-years away in Canes Venatici. It is nearly 100,000 light-years across, similar in size to our own Milky Way. Its bright core and spiral arms give it the popular name, The Sunflower Galaxy. This deep exposure reveals faint loops and curling star streams in its halo.
