M104: The Sombrero Galaxy in Infrared
The Sombrero Galaxy, M104, is a large galaxy in the Virgo Cluster. In this image, the Spitzer Space Telescope reveals the galaxy's dark dust lane glowing brightly in infrared light. This ring of dust obscures the galaxy's mid-section in visible light.
