COSMIC MESSAGE
The Quadrantid meteor shower is named for a constellation that astronomers no longer use. Its radiant lies near the Big Dipper, at the edges of Bootes and Draco. This annual shower puts on a show for the northern hemisphere, with dozens of meteors per hour. The meteors are caused by dust from the asteroid 2003 EH1.
