NGC 147 and NGC 185
These two dwarf galaxies, NGC 147 and NGC 185, are satellite galaxies of the Andromeda Galaxy. They sit side-by-side in the constellation Cassiopeia, about 2.5 million light-years away. Although they appear close, they are separated by about 35,000 light-years. This deep telescopic portrait shows them in detail.
