Pluto: The Frozen Planet

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Hubble Space Telescope imaged Pluto and its moon Charon in 1994. At that time, Pluto was usually the most distant planet from the Sun, though its elliptical orbit sometimes brought it inside Neptune's path. Pluto is smaller than any other planet, and even smaller than several moons. Very little was known about it until the New Horizons mission in 2015.
