NASA APOD · Anglo-Australian Telescope Board
COSMIC MESSAGE

As Earth rotates, stars appear to trace arcs across the sky. This long-exposure photograph, taken from the Anglo-Australian Telescope, shows these star trails. The center of the arcs marks the South Celestial Pole, the point around which the southern sky appears to turn.
