Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy M32

M32 is a dwarf elliptical galaxy and a close companion to the Andromeda Galaxy, M31. While M31 is the largest galaxy in our Local Group, M32 is much smaller, composed almost entirely of stars with little gas or dust. It appears as a small, circular spot north of M31's center in many images.
