COSMIC MESSAGE

Comet Hyakutake was the brightest comet in twenty years, visible to the unaided eye. Discovered only two months prior, it passed nearest Earth in late March 1996. It appeared as an extended fuzzy patch in the northern sky. The comet's location was charted to help people find it easily.
