COSMIC MESSAGE
The Perseid Meteor Shower is an annual event, happening each August, when Earth passes through debris left by Comet Swift-Tuttle. The meteors appear to radiate from a point in the constellation Perseus. Astronomers in 1837 suspected this was an annual event, and it is now known to be caused by Earth's yearly passage through the comet's orbiting trail of bits.
