The Heart Of Orion
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
The heart of the Orion Nebula, where new stars are being born, is usually hidden by thick dust and gas. The Hubble Space Telescope's NICMOS camera, sensitive to infrared light, can penetrate this veil. It reveals infant star clusters and glowing dust clouds energized by their intense starlight within Orion Molecular Cloud 1.
