Pictured: An Ancient Martian?

This highly magnified image shows a tube-like form believed by some to be a fossil of a simple Martian organism. The fossil, less than a hundredth the width of a human hair, was found in a meteorite ejected from Mars over 3.6 billion years ago. While the claim remains controversial, it sparked intense debate about the possibility of ancient life on Mars.
