A Cluster Too Far

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

This cluster of galaxies, HST 035528+09435, appears unusually red. Astronomers think this is because it is so far away that the expansion of the universe has stretched its light to redder wavelengths. If this is true, it means the cluster formed when the universe was less dense than we thought. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this image.
