COSMIC MESSAGE
Next week, a spectacular meteor storm is expected: the 1998 Leonids. The meteors are small pieces of Comet Temple-Tuttle. Each time the comet passes the Sun, it sheds ice and rock. This debris orbits the Sun until it either evaporates or hits something, like Earth's atmosphere, creating a meteor.
