GLAST Gamma-Ray Sky Simulation

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

This simulated image shows how the gamma-ray sky might appear to the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) after a year in orbit. It displays gamma rays with over 40 million times the energy of visible light. The Geminga and Crab pulsars, which are spinning neutron stars, are the two brightest sources in this view away from the galactic center.
