The Largest Rock Known

COSMIC MESSAGE

That faint dot in the center is Earth, the largest known rock. It is larger than any known asteroid, moon, or comet nucleus, and bigger than any other rocky planet. The Voyager 1 spacecraft captured this image in 1990 from the outer Solar System. Earth's gravity makes it nearly spherical and holds heavy gases near its surface.
