COSMIC MESSAGE
A planet has been discovered orbiting Epsilon Eridani, a Sun-like star only 10 light-years away. This makes it the closest Sun-like star known to host an exoplanet. The planet was found by observing the gravitational wobble it caused on its parent star, not by direct imaging. Epsilon Eridani is visible to the unaided eye near Orion's belt. The detected planet is thought to have a mass similar to Jupiter, but orbits slightly closer to its star.
