Almost every object in this photograph is a galaxy. The Coma Cluster of Galaxies is one of the densest clusters known, containing thousands of galaxies, each with billions of stars. Light from the Coma Cluster takes hundreds of millions of years to reach us. The cluster is so large that light takes millions of years just to cross it.
