The Surface of Titan

If you were to sail the hydrocarbon seas of Titan, beware of gasoline rain. Titan is Saturn's largest moon, with a thick, smoggy atmosphere. New images from the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, using infrared light, have revealed details on its surface. These features are interpreted as oceans, glaciers, and rock. The infrared light allows us to peer through the haze and see the complex terrain below.
