NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
Eta Carinae, a star roughly 100 times more massive than our Sun, is a candidate for a supernova explosion. While no one knows when it will happen, the star had a major outburst about 150 years ago, making it one of the brightest stars in the southern sky. It resides within the Keyhole Nebula and is the only known star to emit natural laser light.
