COSMIC MESSAGE
On August 12, as the Moon set and before the Sun rose, Earth experienced a double event. Meteors from the Perseid shower, caused by debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle, streaked across the sky. Simultaneously, an unexpected aurora appeared, triggered by charged particles from a large coronal mass ejection from the Sun a few days prior.
