This image shows an X-ray star, GX5-1, winking out behind the Moon during a lunar occultation. The false-color images use data from the ROSAT satellite. Yellow indicates high-energy X-rays, mostly from GX5-1, and red shows lower-energy X-rays reflected by the Moon from the Sun. GX5-1 is a binary system with a neutron star and a companion.
