COSMIC MESSAGE
A rare blue flash appears above the setting sun. Earth's atmosphere acts like a weak prism, bending sunlight and separating it into colors. Blue light bends more than red, so under very clear conditions, a blue flash can sometimes be seen for a brief moment as the sun dips below the horizon.
