Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) is brightening as it approaches the Sun and Earth, and may soon be visible without a telescope. This image shows the comet with three distinct ion tails against a field of stars. Comet brightness is difficult to predict, but it will be closest to the Sun this week.
