NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
RX J185635-375 is an extremely dense, compact star. Initially thought to be a neutron star 150 light-years away, new data suggests it's further, about 450 light-years, and has an unusually small radius. One theory is that it might be a quark star, a type of exotic star made of deconfined quarks.
