The active galaxy Centaurus A shows a fantastic jumble of young blue star clusters, giant glowing gas clouds, and dark dust lanes. This mosaic of Hubble Space Telescope images in blue, green, and red light shows a natural color picture of this cosmic maelstrom. Infrared images from Hubble suggest a billion-solar-mass black hole at the center.
