Eclipse in the Mist

NASA APOD · Olivier Meeckers (Groupe Astronomie de Spa)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The first solar eclipse of 2003 was already in progress as the Sun and Moon rose over much of Europe on May 31st. Though the full annular phase was visible only in far northern regions, early risers still saw inspiring views of the two celestial bodies. Astrophotographer Olivier Meeckers captured this image of the partial eclipse from Charneux, Belgium.
