Almost every object in this photograph is a galaxy. This is the Coma Cluster, one of the densest known clusters, containing thousands of galaxies. Each galaxy, like our Milky Way, holds billions of stars. Light from the Coma Cluster takes hundreds of millions of years to reach us.
