Eclipsed Moonlight from Connelly's Springs

NASA APOD · David Cortner
COSMIC MESSAGE

On November 8, skies over Connelly's Springs, North Carolina, were clear enough for David Cortner to photograph a total lunar eclipse. Cortner took telescopic pictures every eight minutes as the Moon entered partial eclipse and progressed through the reddish total phase. The Moon was rising higher in the sky throughout the event.
