Neptune, the outermost gas giant, is known for its dynamic weather. This false-color image from Palomar Observatory reveals a new storm, dubbed Annabelle, several times larger than terrestrial hurricanes. Observing these storms helps us understand global weather patterns, both on Neptune and Earth.
