COSMIC MESSAGE
The Heart Nebula, officially IC 1805, and the Soul Nebula are two bright emission nebulae in the constellation Cassiopeia. Both nebulae glow brightly in the red light of energized hydrogen gas. They are about 6,000 light-years from Earth. Scattered throughout the image are several young open clusters of stars, visible in blue light, that populate the centers of these star-forming regions.
