COSMIC MESSAGE
Oklahoma, in the central US, is known for its prairie skies but not for frequent northern lights. However, following intense solar activity late last month, aurora did sweep down the Oklahoma plains. Skywatcher Dave Ewoldt captured this display 40 miles northwest of Oklahoma City around 3 AM CST on October 29. He had anticipated aurora sightings and spent the evening photographing.
